Internships

Depending on your college or department, internships can be defined many different ways.

Internships are typically defined as a career–related experience for one semester or summer term. Internships may be paid or unpaid. Some departments will give credit to students for internship experiences while other departments require one or more internship experiences as part of the degree requirements.

Internships are a great way to gain career-related experience, explore your career opportunities and get experience on your resume. Learn more here!

Cooperative Education (Co-Op)

Cooperative Education is a formal academic program where students participate in paid, progressive, career-related work experiences with an employer for a minimum of at least one fall or spring semester. This allows for an in-depth experience and solid knowledge of an employer. Students may earn 1-3 credits for each work experience and accumulate a year's worth of career-related experience prior to graduation.

If you are interested in cooperative education, contact the Cooperative Education Office in your college.
