Online Fairs: How They Work
Online fairs are a new, exciting way to connect with potential employers from across the nation from the comfort of your own computer!
How to Participate:
Make sure to follow these steps to join in the conversation:
Register to attend the event. You will receive an email with instructions on how to set-up your online profile prior to the fair beginning.
Research who is attending the fair. Registrations update in real time so check back to make a list of the companies you wish to talk to.
When the event is live, select an organization of interest and "Get in line". You will have one-on-one timed conversations with the recruiter. Review How to Prepare to make this conversation as meaningful as possible.
Remember: Each conversation is timed. You will have 15 minutes to talk to each recruiter. Watch the timer during your conversation.
Take notes after your time with the recruiter ends and send a thank you email after the fair.
